The object: specific groups representing several characteristics and qualities of gender interaction in the modern society; The goal: investigating the description of gender roles as symbolic systems of the sociocultural development of society; The research methods: logical generalization, analysis, syntheses, comparative analysis, typology, content-analysis, survey; Theoretical and practical results: conceptualization of the transformation of gender roles in the modern society; broadening the existing scientific understanding of interdisciplinary, including sociological, measuring the field of interpretating gender transformation; diagnosis of the appliance of the concept "gender" was made aiming for social control and social policy; Novelty: scientifically grounded gender relationship with the perspective of differentiation and integration, bearing a methodological, instrumental and applied character through the prism of scientific, official and public discourse; The level of implementation: methodological groundings and the results of the empiric research were applied at the practical activities in some Odessa Universities in the process of instructing several courses, particularly the "Sociology of Culture".
