The research was aimed at solving an urgent problem of urology - the problem of optimizing the treatment of patients suffering from chronic bacterial prostatitis flare- up. There were 129 patients in the basic group, and 127 patients in the group to be compared. The proposed lymphotropic therapy method proved to be highly effective as to the immediate and late results, these results being determined by means of Doppler ultrasonography, microbiological and functional ultrasound investigations of prostate through the examination of prostate juice and ejaculate. There were obtained data as to positive influence of lymphotropic therapy on psychological disorders of the patients, as well to the favourable course of convalescence period and the patients reproductive health restoration. It was turned out that the most objective laboratory investigation methods of the prostate are the studying of the number of the white blood cells in the prostatic fluid and the number of the lecithin granules. Ejaculate is investigated with the purpose to determine the number and the quality of the sperm cells. The most reliable methods are ultrasonoscopic and doplerographic investigations, which have no subjective influence.
