Skolozdra O. Onymic and Appellative Nomination of persons in the Ivan Franko's small prosaic works.

The research presents analysis of the meticulous work of the writer with nomen, in particular, it focuses on author's corrections of anthroponymic character nominations in various editions and publications of his works. The thesis suggests researching nominations of persons in the artistic works applying syntagmatic and paradigmatic aspects of analysis. The nominations of characters are studied according to their nationality, social status, age, profession or occupation of the nominated characters. The stylistic loading of the onymic and appellative units is studied, the structural peculiarities of the nominations and the frequency of usage of nominative units in the small prosaic texts of Ivan Franko is analyzed.
