Piontkovska T. Poetic formulas as the description of connections between the "Igor's tale" language and the language of folklore.

The paper provides a complex investigation of poetic formulas of ancient manuscript "Igor's tale" and folklore. The subject of the investigation is the poetic combinations of words in "Igor's tale", dumas, true stories, calendar ritual songs. The characteristics of factual material was based on the frequency of poetic formulas in the different folklore genres and on the invariableness of images and emotional shades made by them. The paper describes the history of formulas as universal conformity of oral works. It also describes different ways of outlining the giving term. The investigation analyses the status, functions and general peculiarities of loci communes in the poetic texts. At the same time our attention is also concentrated on the main peculiarities of formulas in "Igor's tale" and different folklore genres (dumas, true stories, calendar ritual songs). In the dissertation the comparison of poetic formulas of the ancient manuscript and folklore was also made. A complex research described common and different features in the usage of formulas in the manuscript and oral works. The paper is accompanied by the list of formulas from "Igor's tale" and by the dictionary of formulas in the ancient manuscript and folklore in their comparison.
