Kushch N. Prepositional Equivalence in the Ukrainian Grammar. Its Structure, Semantics, Functions. The Manuscript

The research is devoted to the problems of studying the functional equivalence of the connective words, to the prepositional equivalence in the Ukrainian language. The key positions of the equivalence theory are analyzed on the basis of the carefully gleaned facts. Besides the structural peculiarities of the equivalents of the preposition are studied. And the semantics of the analyzed units is determined. During the research the structural characteristics of the synthetical and analytical prepositional equivalents were revealed. Quantitative analyses showed that the researched units are subdivided into synthetical (consist of one component) and analytical (consist of many components). Componential analysis lets to define a part of speech characteristic of the functional equivalents of the preposition.
