Baidus S. Semantic-syntactic structure of constructions with explanation.

The present thesis includes the complex semantic-syntactic functional and pragmatic analysis of the sentences which include the explanatory component. For the first time the main types of sentences with explanatory relations have been defined in Ukrainian linguistics. Which means that the semantic-syntactic structure of the explanatory constructions have been described hereby with regard for function-contents plan of semantic expression, the allocated intention made by speaker, the style conditionality caused by them and their application in a modern Ukrainian language. The expression language means of a categorical semantics: self-expression (identification), definition-elucidation, elucidation of partitioning, elucidation of conclusion and 'general and partial' explanatory relations have been determined in this thesis. The peculiarity of explanatory component application in the structure of simple and compound sentence has been characterized herewith as well as their application in dialogic and monological phrasal unities.
