Essay

Based on the results of complex clinic and paraclinic investigation of 134 patients, it was established the deficiency of water-soluble vitamins В1, В2, В6, РР and С in patients with neurological signs of lumbar osteochondrosis (NSLO). It was proved the importance of metabolic disorders in pathogenesis of osteochondrosis. The changes of nonspecific immunity, as well as humoral and cell-mediated immunity, were revealed in patients with NSLO. The results show the substantial role of immune mechanisms in development of this disease. After surgical treatment of this pathology in early postoperative period, the immune disorders increased and normalization of the immune figures was not observed for a long time after operation. It can be important in occurrences of relapses of the disease after surgery.Application in the complex treatment of patients with NSLO vitamin therapy increased the efficiency of therapeutic measures, promoted the decrease of pain, improved electromyography indexes and normalized the immune status and water-soluble vitamin supply. It was established better results in group where vitamins were prescribed per os.
