Essay

In the thesis, parameters of intensive coal extraction technology at great depth have been substantiated owing established rock mass behavior due to undermining by retreat coal face. The more coal face advance, the intensive fracture system modification is and the more direction of gas filtration changes. It was found that exponential decline of gas emission into moving coal face during advance buildup caused by disappearing of conditions for high permeability subvertical channel occurrence, by lag of gas emission zone boundary from moving coal face, and by emergence of a channel of high permeability in lamination plane. A technology has been improved for rock mass degassing. Gas well lag distance from moving coal face has been established. This parameter provides high efficiency of degassing. Slot distressing has been proposed for entry stability that facilitates direct airway. Depth of the slot is controlled as function of coal face advance logarithm. New findings have been adopted by MakNDI for improvement of degassing technology. Developed technologies for intensive extraction have been introduced at coal mines named after О.F. Zasyadko and "Krasnoarmiyska-Zahidna№1".
