Market economic system in Western European countries in the second half of the 17th century -the first half of the 19th century. Analysis of the process of formation of economic subjects, their place and role in functioning of the market economic systems in the Western European countries. Principles of system approach to analysis of economic processes and methods of dialectics. The author studied human nature and its key characteristics in the capacity of economic subject in Western European economy during the period under consideration. The concept of "economic subject" is defined by the author. The author also analyses the role of economic subjects in the process of development of market economy in Western Europe and nature of economic subjects in the current conditions of economic system in Ukraine.
