Kotyk I. Existential Dimension of the Human Being in the Yuriy Tarnawsky's poetry.

The dissertation deals with the analysis Yuriy Tarnawsky's poetry on the subject its existential strength. The evolution of problematics is traced, the most important elements of the conceptual field of 'human being' in the author's poetical picture of the world is described, and, consequently, the great existential potential of Tarnawsky's poetry is testified. Existential motifs, which are one of the dominant of the Ukrainian-American writer's works and link his twenty collections, have heuristical character, but usually do not function in these texts as an illustrations of a clear beforehand defined ideas. The evolution of Tarnawsky's creativity is distinguished by the tendency to liberation of the image of human being from the rationality, inclination to fixing of the advantage of the nonrational side of human nature over the rational one.
