Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the compound semantic, genetic and structural analysis of names of linguistic notions, used in the multi-genre relicts of Ukrainian language of XVI-XVII c. The lexical material is divided into 8 thematic subgroups, different in size and level of system organization. There were found the features, which distinguish old scientific denominations from the modern terms. It is suggested to use the term lexeme for designation of scientific notion and lexis for designation of scientific notions or terminological lexicon in the researches on historical terminology.
