Halaibida O. Parenthetical Constructions in Ukrainian fiction text.

The thesis investigates the peculiarities of the functioning of parenthetic elements in the Ukrainian texts of fiction of the 20s-30s years of the 20th century. There have been defined communicative, syntactical, stylistic factors of appearance of parenthetic constructions in the text of fiction. Analysis of the prose texts shows that parentheses are on the one hand text forming elements and on the other hand - means of author's impact on the reader expressing his communicative pragmatic intentions. In the structure of the text of fiction parenthetical constructions are found to be very active. They are parts of temporal and locative structure of the text. In analysed material parentheses stress additional information about location of different objects and characters. There have been analysed parentheses which specify the characters of the text of fiction and which have intertextual semantics.
