The object of study - social and economic vocabulary of English-speaking origin in the end of XX - the beginning of the XXI century at the language of Ukrainian mass media. The purpose of study - to do semantic and functional, word building and stylistic analysis of the newly borrowings of the English-speaking social and economic vocabulary at the language of Ukrainian mass media in the end of XX - the beginning of the XXI century. The methods: analytic and descriptive, comparisive methods, the methods of componentive, quantitative, social and linguistic analysis. The practical importance It is possible to use the results at the lexicographical work as a source's base in order to explanatory and other dictionaries. The materials and conclusions of the thesis are expedient during the teaching modern Ukrainian Literary language. Novelty: the complex functional and stylistic analysis of the lexical units of English-speaking origin, which were selected out of the mass media texts, has been realized.The concept of "social and economic vocabulary" has been ascertained, distinguished it's structural and semantic groups and modifications at the thesis. The specific of the social and economic anglisms' functioning has been investigated according to the stylistic mass media texts' features. The social and economic vocabulary's degree of understanding by diverse sections of the population has been determined. The dictionary of English-speaking social and economic vocabulary borrowings has been composed using the sources of mass media in the end of XX - the beginning of the XXI century
