Gharbi W. Complex treatment of patients with urethral stricture using endo-surgical equipment

The thesis is devoted to the issues of diagnostics and complex treatment of bladder strictures with the use of the inner optical urethrotomy. The works contains examination data, results of complex treatment, the study of treatment results from 219 male patients with the strictures of different bladder parts.97 (44,3%) patients made up the reference group. The main group, where the modified treatment complex was made, consisted of 122(55,7%) humans. While visualizing the stricture the attention was paid to the follow-ing peculiarities: stenosis localization, diameter, stenosis's length, and in patients of the second group - to the length and thickness of sponge fibrosis. While doing uroflowmetry it was discovered that the level of urination disorders did not depend on only one factor, but was of polygenic character.The patients of the second group underwent optical urethrotomy in a modified variant. The implementa-tion in the clinic practice of the improved examination methods, pre-surgical preparation, endoscopic surgical interference and post-surgical rehabilitation of patients allows to increase the number of "good" results in pa-tients with the strictures more than 9 mm long (from 25,0% to 54,8%) and to decrease the number of recidiva-tion from 43,8% to 9,7%
