Alekseenko N. Style Peculiarities of Volodymyr Vynnychenko's Short Stories and Problems of Artistic Trend.

The thesis deals with the research of the style peculiarities of Volodymyr Vynnychenko's short stories and the problems of defining the artistic trend which the writer's works have a propensity for. The paper analyses the role of V.Vynnychenko's short stories in the literary process in the late 19th - early 20th centuries, gives the understanding of the writer's creative method as a neorealistic one. The main principles of neorealism and neorealistic intentions in Vynnychenko's works are determined. The concept of man in these stories is evaluated. The paper studies the manifestations of neorealistic principles at the level of the poetics and language of a prosaic work. The analysis of the genre and style structure is given, the genre modifications are revealed and their genre and style features are determined. The poetical peculiarities of short stories are considered, the role of style modifications is distinguished. For the first time the paper focuses on the research of using complex epithets as acharacteristics of Vynnychenko's style. The dissertation suggests an analysis of neorealistic tendencies in a monologue, dialogue, polylogue as well as a study of transformation of their functional roles.
