Gavrysh M. Speech markers of the social status of a person in Ivan Franko's artistic prose.

The work systematizes various aspects of scientific research of the category „social status of a person", builds the theoretical model of category description that presupposes characteristics of verbal (speech and language) as well as non-verbal means in the asymmetric communicative situations. The second chapter lays out a system of speech means of expressing social status of a person, in particular, categorical, non-categorical and softened directive acts, evaluative acts, etiquette forms of greetings. The third chapter reveals a set of language means of expressing social status at the level of naming the addressee of the speech with higher and lower social status (grammar and lexical markers).The fourth chapter highlights the socially relevant features of non-verbal behavior of the communicative act participants within the frameworks of prosody, kinesics, takesics and proxemics.
