Greshchuk V. Guzul Dialect in the Ukrainian Belletristic Language of the 19th - the 1st half of the 20th c.

Phonetic, morphological, lexico-semantic, phraseological guzul dialectal units which are used in the Ukrainian belletristic texts of the marked period are analyzed. The repertoire of the guzul dialectal elements of a different level is shown for each writer and the specificity of their using in belletristic texts is also elucidated. The four types of the interaction between guzul dialect and the Ukrainian literary language in the belletristic language are established. It is substantiated that guzul dialectal units of different level perform important belletristic functions such as: creation of the images, guzul colouring, cognition of guzul spiritual and material culture, developing and enriching of the tropes and stylistic figures, ethnographical identification of the characters and ethnographical localization of the events.
