Essay

The following dissertation is an integral research of the artistic heritage of Mykola Sirotjuk, Vitalij Kulakovskyj and Mykola Gluhen'kyj. In the course of this work there has been traced genesis and the main stages of these authors' aesthetically-worldview beliefs evolution, analyzed genre-stylistic specific, vivid system and structural features of the following novels: "Falcon fraternized" ("Pobratavsja sokol"), "On the high steep slopes of Uman" ("Na Uman's'kih vysokih kruchah"), "Glory for defeated" ("Slava peremozhenym") by M. Sirotjuk; "Kolijivshchina", "Koliji" by M. Gluhen'kyj; "Volodimir Monomah", "Severin Nalivajko", "Maksim Krivonis", "Ivan Sirko", "Martin Pushkar", "Wild field" ("Dyke pole") by V. Kulakov'skyj; also in this work there has been given the literary discourse of their historical and artistic truth. Special attention is devoted for description of the key moments of solving the "human - history" problem in the works selected for the analysis, determination of achievements and losses of writers' historical prose, forming of its literary appraisal, establishment of its place and part in the domestic writing of the noted period.
