Essay

The oiconymy of Ivan Franko district. In the thesis the complex, synchronically and diachronically the Ivan Franko district oiconymy is studied. The thesis is devoted to the word-building structures analysis, to the oiconymes origin, to the lexical, semantic and functional peculiarities of mentioned territory analysis. There main region toponymic models productivities defined, and the main trends and the regularities of its functioning traced; almost for the all of Ivan Franko district settlements names the nominative motivations are determined. Materials may be used for the creating texstbooks in onomastics, for composing of regional historical-etymological dictionaries.
