The object: money culture; The aim: identification of specific money culture traits in modern Ukrainian society and the factors influencing it; The research methods: comparative analysis and synthesis, logical generalization, mass survey; The theoretical and practical results: basic principles and conceptual ground of sociological research into money culture have been specified; the structure of money culture phenomenon and its social functions have been analyzed; money culture typology based on a number of criteria has been elaborated; money culture peculiarities in modern Ukrainian society as a whole have been defined together with its features in certain social groups; the system of factors causing money culture specificity in Ukraine has been determined; The novelty: conception of money culture as a determinant of individual and group monetary behavior has been developed; The level of implementation: dissertation results can be used for educational courses "Economic Sociology", "Sociology of Money".
