Bolkhovitinova A. Termination of marriage under Ukrainian law

The thesis contains analysis of termination of marriage in court and by means of administrative procedure, by death of one spouse and by declaration of death. The doctrinal notion of "termination of a marriage" is provided. Legal approaches as to definition of the notion "dissolution of a marriage" are improved. Correlation of the abovementioned notions is defined. The author has proved the necessity of unification of grounds on which a marriage could be terminated in court, introduction of a ban on bringing a divorce suit by a spouse who conducted an offense, annulment of a marriage taken by a person declared dead etc. Following the conducted analysis of scientific and practical problems of marriage termination law the author suggests specific recommendations aimed at improvement of Ukrainian law.
