Essay

Pharmakognostic comparative analysis of two species of the Arnika genus: non-cultivated - Arnika montana and cultivated - Arnika foliosa has been done for the first time. The qualitative and quantitative composition of the major groups of biologically active compounds of two types of Arnika has been investigated. It was established that grasses of Arnika montana and Arnika foliosa contain phenol compounds: tannin substances, flavonoids, hydroxycortic acids, polysaccharides, amino acids, essential oil, organic acid and ascorbic acid. The presence of fatty acids, karotynoids' and chlorophylls' general amount was indentified in the lypophylic fraction. 4 macro- and 12 micronutrients was also determined in the studied substances. From the Arnika montana and Arnika foliosa grasses in individual condition was allocated 8 phenol nature substances: 4 derivatives of coric acid (cofenic, ferulic, chlorogenic, neochlorogenic), 4 derivatives of 2-phenilbenzo-?-piron (quercetine, quecytrine, morine and rutine). Morphological and anatomical study of two types of Arnika and project design of AND (analytic normative documentation) "The grass of Arnika montana" and "The grass of Arnika foliosa" has been made. Optimal technological conditions to make the extract of Arnika montana and Arnika foliosa herbs was developed, their anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity was also studied
