Research object - piezo- and pyroelectric sensors based on polymer ferroelectrics. The goal of the study was to improve technical characteristics of the sensors. Modern methods of research were applied, as well as 2 new ones developed by the author. It was found that due to formation of the quasistationary system of spontaneous polarization and charges, the relaxation slowed down. It was shown that uniform polarization is formed only if coercive field is exceeded. Developed electrization parameters provided a significant improvement of the sensors' technical characteristics. Three physical models were proposed with theoretical results being in agreement with experimental ones. According to the developed technology, a batch of sensors was manufactured and tested in the laboratory and at one of the enterprises. The results are recommended for using in the design of sensors, as well as in teaching of the relevant courses
