The object of the research: the process of management of works which are executed at the preparatory stage of restructuring of machine-building enterprises; The purpose of work: theoretical substantiation of the process of managing the preparatory stage of restructuring of machine-building enterprises and development of the methodical support of its implementation; Research methodology and instruments: the methods of historicity, scientific abstraction, theoretical generalisation, system analysis, integral estimation, cluster, financial, situational analysis, questioning, expert appraisal, hierarchy analysis, rank correlation; Theoretical and practical results: methodical approach to forming the sequence of development and implementation of restructuring project, which, unlike existing ones, is based on the possibility of ensuring the rated management of the preparatory stage on the basis of such parameters of control, as: integration, aims, time, costs, quality of works implementation, personnel, communications, risks, deliveries and contracts; methodical postulates of complex diagnostics of the internal state of enterprises for ensuring the implementation of the preparatory stage of restructuring, the difference of which encloses: reasonability substantiation of development of the methodical support of restructuring processes, determination of the possibility of ensuring financial sustainability in the process of implementation of restructuring project and the diagnostics of the internal state of an enterprise based on the main functional spheres of activity; grouping the aims of restructuring of industrial enterprise by functional spheres at the preparatory stage, the basic difference of which is aims ranging by the priority of their achievement concerning the certain terms of attainability; the concept definition of restructuring, which, unlike existing, is understood as a process of complex restructuring of various spheres of an enterprise's activity, implemented by means of innovative transformations of structural, process and technological subsystems of an enterprise and being characterised by composite nature, adaptability, strategicness, innovativeness and systemability of transformations; the list of basic principles (sufficiency, forestaling, timeliness, balance, uncertainty consideration, reducing resistance to transformations, preparedness) and criteria (efficiency, dynamic quality, financial sustainability) management an enterprise in the process of restructuring, based on fundamental desfinitions of restructuring as the process of enterprise development of and provision of financial sustainability as a required term of restructuring transformations; Subject and degree of introduction: developments are implemented in practical work of OJSC «Turboatom», SE «Elektrotyazhmash», LTD «KHEZ PTM».
