Lukyanenko S. Lexico-wordformation innovations in the Ukrainian socio-political nomination

Object: innovative word-formative phenomena and proc-esses in the Ukrainian socio-political nomination. Methods and techniques: descriptive method, componential analysis, differential method, methods of linguistic modeling and forecasting (partly used), statistical method. Aim: to deter-mine the characteristics of derivational processes and phe-nomena of the Ukrainian socio-political nomination within word-formative categories in the context of the general the-ory of innovatics. Results, novelty lie in determining sys-tem word-formative connections both within socio-political nomination and within particular word-formative categories; in determining the word-formative innovative mechanisms, their initial causes and consequences in modern Ukrainian; in revealing the inner and extralinguistic factors influencing the word-formative processes. Field of application: in the study of dynamic processes within the system of modern Ukrainian and in their lexicographic modeling; in the prepa-ration of relevant courses in lexicology, word formation, history of Ukrainian, general linguistics; in preparing and publishing dictionaries of lexical formative innovations within the general task of lexicographic processing of mod-ern Ukrainian.
