Sokolova M. Problems of identification and recording occupational diseases in Ukraine

The work is devoted to solving actual problems of public health - improvement of the system of identification, recording and registration of occupational morbidity rates in Ukraine and medical service of workers, basing on determination of regularities in formation of occupational pathology. The dynamics of morbidity rates in occupational pathology in workers and disability in persons of able-to-work age in Ukraine was investigated, depending on the type of the branch of industry, on work conditions, age, sex, length of employment. The peculiarities of the quality of medical examinations, relating on the type of an enterprise, level of diagnostics, use of laboratory, instrumental and functional studies were studies. The data are laid down on the control of the quality of medical examinations by physicians in occupational health and occupational pathology. The assessment is made on identification of occupational diseases, their recording and registration on the example of typical subjects of industry and agriculture. A package of treatment and preventive measures has been developed in order to improve recording of occupational diseases and medical service of workers.
