Essay

The dissertation represents the theoretically grounded and experimentally proved methodology of learning Ukrainian Literature works in the 10th - 11th forms in a secondary school against a background of events and phenomena of a corresponding historical epoch. The author considers effective methods and ways of work at forming students' skills to compare a literary work with a corresponding historical epoch, to analyze historical images and compare historical facts about them with the interpretation of images-characters in the b?lles-l?ttres, to distinguish the historical truth and the artistic truth. Acquirement of necessary knowledge and formation of skills to analyze literary works against a background of a corresponding historical epoch are achieved by purposeful and systematic work at lessons of different types: a lesson-conversation, a lesson-lecture, a binary lesson, a lesson-investigation.
