Yanchuk A. Holding Referenda in Ukraine (Constitutional and Legal Aspects).

The research is a comprehensive theoretical legal analysis of constitutional and legal aspects of holding referenda in Ukraine. The place of a referendum in the mechanism of the rule of people has been determined as well as substantiated the appropriateness of using the "referendum procedure" category in order to characterise the activity of authorised subjects with regard to the initiation, organisation and holding referenda. The formation, development and present-day state of scientific elaboration of the referendum procedure problems have been analysed. The constitutional legal nature of the referendum procedure relations has been substantiated, the place of the referendum procedure legal institute in the system of the constitutional law of Ukraine has been determined.
