Microtoponymу of the Uzh river basin (on the material of the Ukrainian dialects of the Transcarpathian Region) іs investigated in the thesis. Connection between the microtoponymic system of the region, history of its settling, its geographical environment, dialectal diversity is established. Structural-semantic, name-formative and the etymologic analysis of the microtoponyms of the Uzh river basin of the Transcarpathian Region is performed on synchronous and diachronous planes. Linguoculturological analysis of the names, that are based on the connotation toponyms, is carried out. The basic varieties of the microtoponyms and peculiarities of its functioning are elucidated.
