Sazonova O. Methodology of architectural designing of the city trade service system (Poltava-based project)

Subject: trading enterprises; aim – to develop an effective methodologies for architectural designing of the city’s trade and service system; methods: systematic approach; historical and genetical method, comparative analysis, graphic-analitical method, field research into enterprises, which already exist in big cities throughout Ukraine, designing; novelty: hierarchical structure of trade and service system is specified, main factors affecting the architectural design of the city’s trade and service centres are listed and described; the classification of architectural trading enterprises is made; methodological and typological recommendations for the optimization of architectural and design decision on trade and service system are provided; results: the structure and hierarchy levels, which affect functioning and development of architectural trading enterprises, are specified; main factors, which affect emergency, architectural formation and development of the city’s trade and sevice system are didtinguished; quantative methodology is developed as a tool for appraisal and selection of alternate volumetric layout dicisions at early stages of architectural designing of trading enterprises; recommendations for architectural designing of the city trade and service system are made based on the Poltava trade and service centres model; degree of implementation – in scientific research and in architectural disigning practice; branch – theory of architecture, architectural design.
