Thesis for the Degree of a Candidate of Philosophy on specialty 09.00.04 - philosophical anthropology, philosophy of culture. - National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, Kiev, 2009. Anthropological topics both in philosophy and arts proceeded along a complex path of development and realization and acquired the new human significance at the beginning of the XXI-th century. The proposed thesis has investigated the anthropological topics in philosophy and arts over the XIX-ХХ century epoch and expanded the human problems common to this period; studied the Russian symbolism backgrounds as the belles-letters area with identification of those representing the new understanding of the social medium and a man. The main subject investigated in the thesis was identification and studies of anthropologism in the "silver age" culture. Analysis of the belles letters inherited and theoretical schools of Russian symbolism representatives, in particular L. Merezhkovski and A. Belyi, identified and proved anthropological targeting of their writings as essential. Validated that with the symbolism methods they attempted and showed subtleties of man inward habits, changes in one's perception of the world, while raising issues pertaining to religion, aimed and overcame the spiritual crisis of those days thereby making free and cognizing a man in oneself.
