Essay

The thesis is devoted to study of cognitive disorders, peculiarities, cerebral hemodynamics and functional state of brain in patients with dyscirculatory encephalopathy (DE) on early stage for improving the results of therapy. Individual quantitative approach was proposed to estimate degree of cognitive disorders that enables to choose the best tactics of management by administration of nicergoline and picamilone to avoid progressing of cognitive disorders in these patients. It has been established that disturbance of cognitive functions as deterioration of short-term memory, decrease of sensorimotor reactions rate and rapt attention are much more pronounced in patients with 2-nd stage of DE that patients with 1-st stage of DE. It has been established that drop of linear blood velocity in anterior cerebral artery affects negatively on cognitive functions. Comparative analysis of EEG parameters in patients suffering from DE with cognitive disorders revealed that modifications in amplitude and frequency characteristics of alpha-rhythm and degree of slow-waved activity possess certain features. Expediency and efficiency of fluoxetine use in complex therapy of patients with DE, particularly, against the background of arterial hypertension has been proved. Key-words: dyscirculatory encephalopathy, cognitive disorders, cerebral hemodynamic, bioelectrical cerebral activity, picamilone, nicergoline, fluoxetine.
