Tkachenko T. Opposition as Factor of Forming of Democratic Political System in Ukraine

This dissertation is dedicated to the political opposition as an institution of a democratic political system, the particulars and problems of forming the institute of political opposition in the Ukraine. The process of the origin and development of the conception of political opposition in the political theory is researched. The author formulated the political opposition's essence as an institution of the democratic political system, distinguished and analyzed functions and types of the political oppositions. The main development stage of the political opposition in the Ukraine is defined. The problems to institutionalize the political opposition in the Ukraine are distinguished. Also, factors that form the model of political opposition are analyzed. The types of models of political oppositions in modern democratic systems in the world are analyzed. The prospects to employ the institution of political opposition in the Ukraine are recognised and consideration given to the Ukrainian realities within the context of accepted practice in the world
