Kustovskaya M. The conception of "living life" in Dostoevsky's works.

The problematic and practically undeveloped key-concept of "living life" is researched on the basis of the whole Dostoevsky's heritage works in the dissertation. The sources and character of functioning of the concept "living life" in the Russian culture of the XIX-XX centuries are examined, and the originality of understanding it by Dostoevsky is determined. The semantics of the concept "living life" in artistic and publicistic discourses of the author is analyzed. The methods of realization of the artistic concept of "living life" are shown, and its exclusive place in the author's artistic system is revealed. As a result, a substantially corrected scientific interpretation of the phenomenon of "living life" in Dostoevsky's works is offered, also in the light of this interpretation the author's basic ideas are re-interpreted and traditional character evaluations are reconsidered. The theory of the poetics of the "living life" image is extended as well and the system of symbols, connected with it, is constructed.
