Essay

The thesis work is dedicated to the research of problem as per functional characteristics of interpenetration of notions meanings "author intentions" (intents, mindset) and "narrative strategies" as exemplified by early (1901-1906), psychological (1907-1920) and emigrant (1921-1951) prose of V. Vinnichenko. This ambitendency appears in different forms and means in Ukrainian modernistic prose, and especially in prose works with represented hypertrophic author's "I". The special nature of functional relation between author intentions and narrative strategies in terms of notions and formal-substantive aspects of V. Vinnicenko prose works organization is defined by philosophic-political and Utopian intentions of the author - to create the artistic concept of ideal society. The works analysis of intentional theory researchers (phenomenologists, logicians, analysts) gave an opportunity to a respondent to insist that intention, mindset is to be the subject-matter of consciousness act, mentality feature in the sphere of attitude to self and the world. Whereas systematic study of notions that were introduced to the science by the foreign narratologists and acquired knowledge regarding linguistic and phenomenal notion of intention leads to the conclusion that narrative strategy is a cluster of narrative means, which convey and targeting the author's intention in the form of story or discourse. In its turn it defines the peculiarities of thesis work research, when dominant intentions of construction of integral human world and narrative specimen, discursive forms of speech presentation, narrative types in the prose of V. Vinnichenko are interdependent. The reflective mental attitude is defined as the higher-priority intention in the artistic finish of human being character. It represents the coding by author his national posture in archetypes, individual signs-constants by the means of artistic metaphor. The availability of permanent archetypes renders possible to consider all prose of V. Vinnichenko as a single suggestive, didactive, philosophic-political text. Activating of ideological, political intentions of V. Vinnichenko are revealed in consequence of saturation of prose text by discursive forms of speech presentation: lectures, questionnaires, appeall, letters, treatise, manifestos, programs, quoting of French collectocrats, tele-presentation, theatrical performance, "technique of mirror" and etc. In this work the attention is emphasized that narrative strategy, where appears the authorial personal origin in the prose of V. Vinnichenko, connotes the interdependent system with basic structural constituents: selection of narrative subjects, temporal narrative organization, means of communication of text author with a reader. With the help of narrative method it is stated that as per form of expression the narrator is marked basically as the author-witness (early prose), subject of action - character (psychological period) and biographic author, author- analyst in emigrant novels. It is marked that narrator exists in the space of prose works of V. Vinnichenko as the all-knowing point of view as per the world, perceptional appreciation, spatial location, temporary location, ideological point of view, language scheme (grammar forms), as traditional for individual style of the author "someone told" - formula.
