Dvigun O. Petr Odarchenko as a researcher of Ukrenian literature.

The thesis represents the systematic research of vorks by P.Odarchenko, his historical, folklore and publicistic foundations. For the first time Odarchenco's concepts and worldview are analysed in connection with the history of Ukrainian literature. This enabled to elucidate his place in Ukrainian historical and cultural paradigm. First time, having analyzed the foundation of aesthetic conception of the world in the scientific works of P.Odarchenko in connection of their place and role in the history of Ukrainian literature. The general principles of historiography and literature studies, are also under examination. Odarchenko's interpretations of the stages of Ukrainian literature and folklore are explained through his cultural and historical vision of Ukrainian past.
