Romanova A. Overcoming Of Therapeutic Resistance Of Paranoid Schizophrenia Patients In The Treatment Process With Craniocerebral Hypothermia Method

Have been studied 130 resistant paranoid schizophrenia patients, 100 of them were treated with hibernation and craniocerebral hypothermia method (CCH) 1 to 3 sessions to overcome therapeutic resistance (TR). Patients of the screening group (30) were given only medical treatment. It has been revealed the leading psychopathologic syndromes for a resistant paranoid schizophrenia and kinds of TR. It was shown the high efficiency of CCH in overcoming of a TR. After CCH it was changing or increasing parasympatic link of vegetative nervous system. The results of psychodiagnostic investigation with Lusher and MMPI methods were shown direct correlation of the colour choice and ММPI scale points with positive dynamic of affective, hypochondristic, derealisation-depersonalisation symptoms and anxiety. In the base of neurophysiological investigation (EEG) was shown the prognostication functional peculiarities for using a suitable number of CCH sessions for overcoming a TR. It was separated three types of EEG peculiarities and their dynamic after overcoming the TR. The ССH method can be recommended for overcoming of a TR in paranoid schizophrenia patients, because it allows to reduce doses of pharmacological medications, gives no side effects and contributes to the rapid improvement of psychic state, raise the compliance Key words: paranoid schizophrenia, therapeutic resistance, craniocerebral hypothermia.
