In this work the basic directions of understanding in psychology are considered, the analysis of understanding as a perceptions and knowledge of the person by the person, as solving a creative problem and in a context of parental-children relations is carried out. The general characteristic of children's endowments and its displays is given, results of empirical research of understanding the displays of children's endowments by parents and its some determinants are analysed. Certain communications between indicators of creative thinking of investigated pupils, their social perception level and style of the parental relation are revealed. In a context strategical theories of creative activity (V.O. Molyako) the understanding is defined as creative process which is carried out owing to active interaction of parents with a new problem (display of endowments of the child is a problem for parents), therefore they enrich their knowledge, form tactical receptions and strategy. Stages, levels and signs of displays of endowments at children are allocated. Genesis of understanding of displays of children's endowments as a high structured, many staged dynamic process of solving the new informative problems, which basis are cognitive strategies, is represented. The maintenance, structure of the developed and approved scientifically-training program of optimisation of understanding by parents of the gifted children and results of shaping experiment is given. It is revealed that teaching-training work organised with non-understanding parents creatively of exceptional children, promoted positive shifts in understanding them of a phenomenon of children's ndowments and the person of children.
