Object of research: osteopenic syndrome and osteoporosis in children. Research aim: efficiency increase of sanatorium resort rehabilitation of patients with JRA basing on study of structural-functional state of the bone tissue and correction of the revealed disorders. Research methods and apparatus: clinical-anamnestic, laboratory, functional, statistical; ultrasonic osteodensitometer "Aсhіlles+" (Lunar-General Electrіc Medіcal Systems, USA), neuromioanalysator NMА-4-01 "Neuromian" ("Medicom LTD", Russia). Theoretical and practical results: The necessity of the regular conducting of osteodensitometry and study of mineral exchange in patients with JRA for assessment of structural-functional state of the bone tissue for the purpose of the timely diagnostics and correction of the revealed disorders is grounded. Indications are grounded and application methods of mud cure and sinusoidal modulated currents in complex sanatorium resort treatment of patients with JRA are offered. The offered method of treatment led to the efficiency increase of sanatorium rehabilitation of patients with JRA due to the improvement of structural-functional state of the bone tissue. Novelty: The complex assessment of the structural-functional state of the bone tissue in patients with JRA is done for the first time taking into account the clinical features of the disease, level of physical development, age and sex of children. The parameter decrease of ultrasonic densitometry and bioelectric activity of muscles, changes of indices of phosphoric-calcium exchange, balance of calcium-regulating hormones and markers of the bone remodulation in patients with JRA are identified. It is first established that mud applications of large area in patients with JRA and with osteopenia and osteoporosis contribute to strengthening of the bone tissue resorption. The positive influence of sanatorium resort treatment with the combined mud applications on the area of injured joints and respective reflex and segmental zone and sinusoidal modulated currents on structural-functional state of the bone tissue and phosphoric-calcium exchange of the patients with JRA is first established. Implementation: articles, theses, useful model patent, inclusion into the educational process in higher medical educational establishments, inculcation in practice of work of children's clinical sanatorias. Sphere of implementation: medicine.
