The dependence of the wall thickness distribution by cross-sections of the working taper on the pass setting and parameters of process of the tube cold pilger rolling has been obtained for the first time. A method had been developed for calculating parameters of the tube cold pilger rolling on the tapered mandrel and the mandrel with curvilinear generatrix at the given distribution of the pass setting in order to obtain the specified precision of tubes. The computerized realization of the developed method for calculating parameters of the tube cold rolling in the system of automatic rolling regulation "tube cold rolling - pass setting" had been carried out. The new experimental data as to transverse tube wall thickness deviation have been obtained on the tool calibrated with use of the developed method for calculating parameters of the process of the tube cold rolling with a given distribution of the pass setting. The substantiation of the working out had been shown in experimental way. Results of the work under the form of computer program "TCR - the pass setting" have been transferred to one of the specialized enterprises of the tube making industry of Ukraine - the Closed Joint-Stock Company Tube and Pipe Works "VSPO - AVISMA" for using while projecting roll pass design for tool of the cold pilger tube rolling with the purpose of obtaining tubes of necessary precision. Results of the work are also used in educational process at the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine.
