Essay

The object of research – a circular solid elastic isotropic cylinder of finite length; the subject of research – steady vibrations of cylinder, its resonance properties; purpose of research : estimation of influence of mechanical properties of material and geometrical parameters of cylinder on kinematic and force parameters of resonance vibrations of finite elastic isotropic cylinder and investigation of structure of high-frequency resonant spectrum; method of research: boundary problem of vibrations of solid finite cylinder is solved by analytical superposition method, infinite systems of linear algebraic equations are solved by method of improved reduction, building of frequency spectra is carried out on the basis of algorithms of solving of nonlinear transcendental equation or solving problem of forced vibrations.
