Vasylchuk L. German Phraseological Derivatives in Lexicographic Interpretation

This research focuses on the study of phraseological derivation in modern German. It analyses the ways of phrasemes formation providing their lexicographic interpretation and considers changes in the composition of German phraseological derivatives alongside with the causes and effects of such changes. The dissertation defines the main lexicographic principles for phraseological derivatives in modern German and establishes lexicographic parameters of their description. Peculiarities of phrase-making in modern German and the ways of phrasemes formation based on set word-combinations as well as by means of varying or separating components within phraseological derivatives are viewed from a lexicographic perspective. The research has discovered that German phraseological derivatives grow from the existing phraseology, change under the influence of linguistic and extra-linguistic factors and can serve as a basis for the emergence of other phraseological derivatives, which is reflected in German lexicography.
