Scholyk I. Gender factor in the Ukrainian publishing business: history and contemporaneity

Dissertation is devoted lighting influencing gender factor in historical, on the example of development of book and press publishing on the territory of Galychyna (end of the ХІХ beginning of ХХ century) and modern processes of development of publishing activity of Ukraine. It is proved that today scientific and educational disciplines of publishing business are called to create own approach in the system of gender knowledges, based on propaganda the principles of gender equality in domestic society. On the basis of gender methodologies attempts are done to restore historical justice in relation to a place and role of woman in development of publishing business, and to review basic publishing achievements of women of Galychyna of the explored period taking into consideration the factor of gender discrimination. The influence on the development of branch is proved by substantial gender disparities of skilled workers with professional realization of gender units on the higher hierarchies of publisher structures.
