Krot L. The role of zemstv of the left-bank Ukraine in agriculture modernization (1864-1914)

The dissertation consists of a complex analysis zemsky establishments activity of the left-bank Ukraine in the sphere of agriculture in the second half of XIX and at the beginning of XX centuries. Special attention is paid to the budget formation of the local authorities and financing of economic and agricultural needs of people. The work gives full details of zemstv measures on propaganda of the advanced methods of economic activity: organization of agricultural schools, courses, lectures, exhibitions and research fields and sectors. Participation of zemsky establishments in credit cooperation formation, small agricultural society, rent establishments and others is considered. The cooperation between povit and gubernia zemstva and governmen's attitude to the local authorities activity is stressed.
