The dissertation is devoted research of the organization of interaction of Internal Affairs Agencies and mass media. Mass media are characterised as the subject of formation of public оpinion about the activities of Internal Affairs Agencies. The author of this research identifies some problems on the legal regulation of the information work of Internal Affairs Agencies Ukraine. The features of a legal status of divisions of Internal Affairs Agencies which cooperate with massmedia are analyzed. The соntents, functions, methods and principles of the cooperation of mass media with law enforcement agencies in the formation of the positive public opinion about activities of Internal Affairs Agencies of Ukraine are considered.
