The dissertation paper studies the phenomenon of Ukrainian neoclassic sonnet as a bright aesthetic, image-bearing and versification development realized in the works of poets belonging to the Kyiv, the Lviv and the Prague centres of neoclassic creative localisation. They represented the generation of 1920s-1930s. The research paper analyzes and arranges scientific approaches of philologists both from continental Ukraine and Diaspora in their seeing the problem of poetic character of a sonnet and in particular, the specific features of the issue related to a neoclassical sonnet.
