Object of research - technology of work a railway junction. The statistical data was processed by methods of the theory of probability, the system analysis, mathematical programming. The dissertation has been dedicated to questions of the improvement of process of maintenance by empty cars of seaport railway junction, increase of efficiency use of a rolling stock, reduction of idle time ships and a wagon turn-over, reduction of working park of cars and operating costs.
