Davydenko S. Influence of the combined action of experimental ulcer of stomach and diabetes mellitus to periodontium tissues

Dissertation is aimed to the study of pathogenetic mechanisms of development of pathological changes in periodontium tissues under conditions of a combined effect of experimental stomach ulcer and diabetes mellitus. Changes of the nitroxyergic system, proteinase inhibitor potential, free radical processes, catabolism of collagen and noncollagen proteins of periodontium, glutargin and combined glutargin and fosamax correcting effects in a combined action of experimental stomach ulcer and diabetes mellitus and their parthial effect were studied in 72 male rats. In the development of destructive changes in periodontium tissues the leading role of endothelial disfunction, decompensation of proteinase inhibitor potential, activation of free radical processes, depolymerization of connective tissue biopolymers is proven. Application of glutargin and glutargin with fosamax with the purpose of correction of the pathological changes normalizes endothelial disfunction, system of proteinases/proteinase inhibitors, decreases activity of free radical processes, prevents catabolism of collagen and noncollagen proteins and has parodontium-protective properties.
