Dissertation is devoted to research of peculiarities of absorption of oil products and dyes by natural mesoporous coals (MC) and carbon sorbents, heavy metals (HM) - modifications of MC (its adducts with compositions of transitional metals) from model and sewage water. Adsorption capacity of MCs in connection with some carbohydrates contained in petroleum is the following: the highest one - with cyclohexane, lesser - with toluene, the least - for decane. It is found out that even under small concentrations, the dyes (methene blue and direct red) extract almost all MC from water that shows a high sorption optionality of the surface of mesoporous coals in connection with direct and basic dyes. In the dissertation the tasks of modification of a natural mesoporous coal is researched and solved which are aimed at raising its adsorption properties in connection to heavy metals. Donetsk natural MC as sorbents have rather high adsorption capacity, low price, availability and can be recommended to the enterprises as cheap adsorbents for posttreatment of sewage from oil products with their further burning in boiler-rooms. Mesoporous coals are the national wealth of Ukraine, they should be used reasonably today and preserved for the next generations for increasing of ecological safety of hydrosphere through deep treatment and posttreatment of sewage using a sorption method.
