Complex research of processes of origin and forming of the child's periodicals of Galychina 20-30 th years of XX cent. as first in history publishing forms of embodiment of cognitive literature was done. The historical reasons of origin of child's periodicals, as a result of the enlightening movement of XIX cent. and forming of it under act of psychological and pedagogical researches in the conditions of competitive activity in 20-30th XX cent. was analyzed. The features of publishing typology was investigated, genre and thematic specificity of cognitive texts was characterized. There was focused attention on publicism for children, which had been origin in the pages of child's periodicals and was a source of forms, genres, ways of popularization and methods of adaptation of scientific information and stimulation of interest for the development of Ukrainian cognitive literature.
